With a female founder and winemaker, Lapostolle is producing superb wines in Chile. Founded by Alexandra Marnier Laspostolle (great grand daughter of the founder of orange Liqueur Grand Marnier), who fell in love with the Cochagua Valley and saw potential to make world class wines in this corner of the world. Their motto is "French in Essence. Chilean by Birth,” explained by winemaker Andrea Leon, “We are not making French wines in Chile, but Chilean wines with a French winemaking philosophy.”
This single vineyard Carménère shows dark and spiced aromas, with soft tannins and elegant balance. A unique wine that is a true expression of its origins.
