Grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier
From his small domaine in Écueil on the Montagne de Reims, Frédéric Savart has built a cult following for Champagnes that balance energy, texture, and terroir expression. Bulle de Rosé is his delicate, luminous rosé Champagne, sourced from Premier Cru vineyards and made in tiny quantities.
Fermentation takes place with native yeasts, followed by aging in a mix of stainless steel and neutral oak. A splash of still red Pinot Noir is added for color and lift before secondary fermentation in bottle. Disgorged with a low dosage, it highlights fruit purity and mineral drive rather than sweetness.
The nose offers wild strawberry, raspberry, and rose petals, accented by blood orange and chalk. The palate is lively and precise, showing red berry fruit, citrus zest, and a touch of spice, all carried by fine, persistent bubbles. The finish is long, dry, and refreshing. A Champagne to pour with charcuterie, salmon, or simply enjoy on its own for an elegant aperitif.
