Grapes: 100% Chardonnay
From the grand cru village of Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs comes this shining expression of Chardonnay by Adrien Dhondt. Known for precision, minerality and a deep sense of place, Dhondt crafts “Les Plantes d’Oger” to showcase the steely chalk soils alongside elegant fruit from his mature vines.
This cuvée is vinified using ambient yeasts, raised on lees, and handled with care to preserve freshness and terroir. Expect little if any heavy manipulation — no heavy filtration, allowing texture and purity to show through.
On the nose: delicate citrus blossom, wet stone, green apple skin, with a thread of honeysuckle and white flower perfume. The palate delivers crystalline minerality, lemon pith, white peach, and just a hint of biscuit from the lees. The texture is lean yet polished, with fine bubbles and a vibrant acidity that carries into a long, mouthwatering finish.
Serve chilled as an aperitif, or pair with oysters, shellfish, or light seafood dishes. Also wonderful with creamy cheeses or as a contemplative glass on its own.
