...AN ODE TO THE SPIRIT THAT BUILT PALM SPRINGS AND A CELEBRATION OF THE COMMUNITY THAT KEEPS IT THRIVING.
some rules are worth following...
The “Two Hour Rule” name pays homage to a storied piece of Palm Springs history; in the mid-20th century, film studios required their stars to remain within two hours of Los Angeles during production, and Palm Springs—just close enough, yet worlds away—became their escape. A cultural icon was born; a place we are lucky enough to call home.

behind the bottles
the wines
These incredible wines are made by our friends at Marchelle Wines and specifically by legendary wine makers Evan Damiano and Greg La Follettte. Greg's story comes full circle with this project; his career started as an early AIDS researcher at the University of California
San Francisco, before he headed into, and subsequently shaped, the world of wine.
the labels
Designed by local artist Tom Dolle, the labels are simple, graphic, and rooted in modernism. Like most of Tom's work, there's a deeper meaning under the surface; Palm Springs architecture is known for its indoor/outdoor transparency, with glass walls leading to pools and patios, reflected in the overlapping rectangles of the art. Desert colours pop; bright yellows and pool aquas of the white label suggest the morning light, while the oranges and purples of the Pinot label reflect the magical sunsets.
