Grapes: 100% Chardonnay

From the merged lineages of Petits Champs Lins — the result of two historic Burgundian estates joining hands — emerges this 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet, a wine that channels both youth and place. The focus here is clear: Chardonnay that breathes with mineral clarity, textural nuance and understated poise rather than overt oak or power.

Grapes are gently whole-cluster pressed, fermented with native yeasts and matured in fine French oak (a restrained portion new) before a period in stainless steel to preserve freshness and focus. The goal is a white Burgundy that honours soil and site first.

The nose opens with orchard blossom, green apple and gentle honeycomb, followed by subtle almond skin and wet stone. On the palate, citrus-tinged pear and soft white peach meet a seam of chalky minerality and lively acidity, all carried through a long, clean finish that feels both silky and taut. Elegant and composed, this is Chardonnay for now and for the cellar.
