A red Sancerre!? Yep, about 15% of wines coming from the region are made from Pinot Noir which locals have been growing for centuries.
You can immediately tell that this is no red Burgundy. Incredibly purity of fruit expresses itself in a surprisingly full bodied wine, with none of the earthiness you often get in red Burgundy, yet still showing the signature mineral finish of the region. In a word, delicious.
