The Chavy family has lived in Puligny-Montrachet for more than two centuries but producing wine under their label only since 1986, when GĂ©rard Chavy began bottling under his own domaine. Jean-Louis, the latest generation of the family, finds the perfect balance of applying traditional and organic vineyard practices while welcoming new technology in the cellar. His wine style emphasizes fruit purity and minerality with rich, opulent texture. They are classic Puligny-Montrachet wines made in a classic style showing elegance, grace and longevity.
The 2022 presents a pale lemon-lime color with a vibrant, intense bouquet of ripe fruit, showing notes of white peach, lemon, and acacia blossom, underpinned by distinct minerality.
On the palate, it's typically racy and energetic, with excellent tension and a balanced freshness. Expect a graceful, clean profile with underlying hints of spice, toasted almond, or a waxy texture as it evolves. It's a precise and elegant wine, structured for beautiful balance and good aging potential.
