Grapes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

After last year’s review from Jeb Dunnuck who said in part about the 2018, “Possibly the wine of the vintage...100 points”, here's another stunner from the Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard. Dr. George B. Crane planted his vineyard in the city of St. Helena back in 1858. Here the Cabernet comes grows flawless, and the wines demonstrate that quality. On the nose, you’re greeted with aromas of chocolate covered cherries, toasted almonds, clove, and Kirshwasser. This is a complex wine on the palate teasing with clove, vanilla, and black olive. The herbal notes in the glass are driven by flavors of grilled leeks, roasted Brussel sprouts, and crisp pancetta. Not to be outdone, the finish delivers elements of plum, nutmeg, pink peppercorn, and intense raspberry on structured, silky and polished tannins which leave you wanting this bottle to never end. Truly a stunner from start to finish!
