Grapes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

The second Vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon from the very special Bengier Vineyard (formerly Vare Vineyard). Contrary to most Napa Cabernet sites this Vineyard typically ripens at lower sugar levels with delicious fruit concentration. This wine is a nod to the classic Cabernet that we have had the opportunity to taste from the 1970’s and 80's from Napa. With a slight twist to the typical Napa Cabernet, Keep also decided this vintage to add 20% whole cluster and then finished the elevage by using one year used barrels and aging for 24 months and then bottle aged for over a year before release.
