From the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay, Egly-Ouriet is known for deeply expressive, terroir-driven Champagnes built on meticulous vineyard work and extended aging. “Les Prémices” offers a more immediate, approachable window into the house style, sourced from vineyards just outside the Grand Cru core but farmed with the same rigor and intent.
The wine is drawn from estate fruit across multiple vintages (50% 2018, 30% 2017, 20% 2016), fermented and aged in Stainless steel, before second fermentation followed by ageing on its lees for 36 months to build texture and integration before disgorgement. As with all Egly wines, dosage is kept low, allowing the natural balance and structure to show clearly.
Fresh and finely detailed, it opens with notes of green apple, citrus peel, and white flowers, layered with subtle brioche and almond. The palate is crisp and energetic, with a fine mousse and a gently chalky texture that carries through a clean, precise finish. Ideal as an aperitif or alongside shellfish and lighter seafood dishes.

- To exchange we require the faulty product to be returned to the store.
- For returns of wines which are corked, please re-seal after tasting and return us the (nearly) full bottle. We cannot exchange if the bottle has been consumed.
- If the same product is not available, we will refund in full to the original form of payment.
