Grapes: Sciaccarellu, Minustellu, and Carcajolo

We love, love, love Corsican wines, and this elegant Sciaccarellu-led blend shows fresh red and black fruits on the nose, complemented by delicate hints of aniseed and classic Corsican garrigue spices. The palate is equally fine and refined, with a lovely persistence though lacking some length at this youthful stage. Flavors of spiced redcurrant jelly currently predominate, but the wine promises to gain more complexity with time in bottle.
