Grapes: 45% Corvina, 35% Rondinella, 10% Molinara, 10% indigenous varietals.
Located in the heart of Valpolicella, Veneto, Ca Del Monte's 20 hectares of vineyards are owned by brothers Umberto and Guiseppe Zaconte. In the family for generations, Cal del Monte is situated on hillsides that face south and southwest, planted with 20-40 year old vines of Corvina, Rodinella and Molinara grapes that are planted in poor soils that stress the vines and nurture the fruit. Producing wines here for six generations, the brothers oversee all steps of production of their wines.
Their Amarone delivers certainly delivers. After harvest in early October the grapes are left to dry until February at which point vinification starts, with maturation in large French & Slavonian oak for a min. of 18-20 months. The wine opens with intense, distinct aromas of dark and wild cherries jam followed by hints of dried roses, hot spices and bitter chocolate. The palate explodes with flavors of baked fruits, tobacco and spices. Bold and elegant with great character. Pair with braised beef, stewed venison, aged cheeses. It also works as a great after dinner companion.

- To exchange we require the faulty product to be returned to the store.
- For returns of wines which are corked, please re-seal after tasting and return us the (nearly) full bottle. We cannot exchange if the bottle has been consumed.
- If the same product is not available, we will refund in full to the original form of payment.
- Any returns are at the customer’s expense.
