Grapes: 100% Chardonnay
Adrien Dhondt is one of Champagne’s rising stars, crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines from the Côte des Blancs. Les Terres Fines is drawn from Premier Cru vineyards in Cuis and Chouilly, rooted in chalky soils that give the wine its laser-like precision and mineral depth. First produced by his family in the 1980s, Adrien has elevated this cuvée into a benchmark for modern grower Champagne.
Drawn from Premier Cru vineyards around Cuis in the Côte des Blancs, the 2022 benefits from a warmer, more generous growing season. Fermentation and maturation in oak bring depth and texture, while a light touch with dosage ensures the wine retains its freshness. It's a lovely meeting of the vintage's natural richness and the chalky precision that makes this corner of Champagne so special.
Ripe lemon, golden apple and white peach lead into toasted hazelnut, brioche and a little spice. There's a generous, almost silky quality to the palate, balanced by lively acidity and fine bubbles that keep everything beautifully focused. The finish is long, dry and gently saline. Definitely a Champagne for the dinner table — try it with scallops, roast turbot, lobster or chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce.
