Grapes: 70% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier
From the Grand Cru cellars of Ambonnay, Egly-Ouriet has built a reputation for deeply expressive, terroir-driven Champagnes rooted in meticulous vineyard work and extended aging. While best known for Ambonnay Pinot Noir, this bottling highlights fruit from the Premier Cru village of Bisseuil, offering a more lifted, finely cut expression of the house style.
âLes Vignes de Bisseuilâ is sourced from estate-managed parcels, with fermentation in barrel followed by long aging on the lees before disgorgement. Made from a blend of vintages (50% 2019, 30% 2018, 20% 2017) dosage is kept low, allowing the natural structure, texture, and minerality of the wine to come through with clarity.
Elegant and precise, it opens with notes of lemon zest, green apple, and white flowers, layered with subtle brioche and toasted almond. The palate is focused and mineral-driven, with a fine mousse and a gently chalky texture that carries through a clean, persistent finish. A natural partner for oysters, shellfish, or simply as a refined aperitif.
