Grapes: 100% Chardonnay
The Champagne house of Pascal Agrapart is located in the celebrated village of Avize in the heart of the Côte de Blancs. The estate previously known as Agrapart & Fils was established in 1894, yet unlike many of the smaller grower Champagne houses that have only begun to estate bottle under their own labels in recent decades, the Agrapart family have done so since the inception of the domaine. The winery was founded by Arthur Agrapart, and is now run by the fifth generation of the family, Ambroise Agrapart, who joined his father Pascal in the 2018 vintage.
“Avizoise” represents his most powerful and architectural expression of the village — a Champagne that balances Avize’s natural elegance with depth and structure.
Aromas of lemon curd, white peach, crushed oyster shell, and toasted hazelnut unfold gradually. The palate shows ripe citrus layered over chalk dust and saline minerality, with a broad but tightly coiled mid-palate and a long, precise finish. The warmth of 2018 lends subtle creaminess, while the chalk backbone keeps everything lifted and focused.
Beautiful alongside butter-poached lobster, scallops with brown butter, roast chicken with truffle jus, or aged Comté. This is a Champagne that rewards patience — in the glass or in the cellar.
