Bordeaux-style red blend; structured, polished, and unmistakably Washington
Founded in 1992, DeLille Cellars helped define Washingtonâs modern Bordeaux movement â blending classic structure with the vivid fruit and precision that only the Columbia Valley can deliver. Their âD2â cuvĂ©e, named for the famed Route DĂ©partementale that winds through Bordeaux, pays homage to that tradition while remaining distinctly Pacific Northwest in character.
Sourced from some of Washingtonâs most respected sites, including Red Mountain and Horse Heaven Hills, the 2022 (or current release) vintage marries richness and restraint. Fermented in small lots and aged in French oak, itâs a wine that showcases both place and polish â dark fruit wrapped in fine tannin and gentle spice.
Aromas of blackberry, plum, and cedar unfold into notes of cocoa, graphite, and warm baking spice. The palate is layered and refined â ripe fruit lifted by freshness, structure, and a long, savory finish. Plush enough for now, yet balanced enough to age gracefully for a decade or more.
