Grapes: 100% Gamay
Domaine de Fa is the Beaujolais venture of brothers Antoine and Maxime Graillot, whose family is renowned for producing exceptional Syrah in the Northern Rhône. Bringing that same thoughtful approach to Gamay, they've established a small estate focused on organic farming and wines that capture the distinctive character of Beaujolais.
En Besset comes from a hillside vineyard in Saint-Amour, one of Beaujolais' ten crus, where Gamay thrives on granite-rich soils. The brothers favour traditional whole-cluster fermentation and a gentle approach in the cellar, preserving the grape's natural freshness and aromatic charm while developing a little extra depth and structure.
Juicy red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry meet violet, cracked pepper and a hint of earthy spice. The palate is lively and beautifully textured, with light tannins, bright acidity and a subtle mineral quality that gives the fruit definition. There's enough substance here to make it interesting at the dinner table, but it's equally delicious with a slight chill. Perfect with roast chicken, charcuterie, grilled sausages or mushroom dishes. A lovely reminder that great Beaujolais can be both wonderfully drinkable and surprisingly complex.

- To exchange we require the faulty product to be returned to the store.
- For returns of wines which are corked, please re-seal after tasting and return us the (nearly) full bottle. We cannot exchange if the bottle has been consumed.
- If the same product is not available, we will refund in full to the original form of payment.
- Any returns are at the customer’s expense.
