Grapes: 100% Chardonnay

Driven by soil first and foremost, Enfield Wine Co. seeks out vineyards that possess a distinct and powerful sense of place – across region, grape variety, and vine age. Working only with small vineyards and independent growers, every step of the process is guided by the intent to maximize this character of terroir. Grapes are harvested for balance and the wines are all given the chance to ferment naturally.

The Citrine 2021, is vibrant and intense, but balanced - as if the volume is turned up on all its parts equally. Briny citrus, orchard fruit, lacy white flowers and minerality are all on display. Dry extract gives the wine concentration and mid palate, while acidity holds the tension. It punches criminally above its weight, and should age superbly well. Key notes of pear, lime skin, early picked mango, lilac, clove, quartz dust, loaded palate with a prominent mineral finish.
