From Sonoma,Ā Kistler Vineyards has long been a benchmark for richly textured, site-driven Chardonnay, working with low yields and a meticulous, hands-on approach in both vineyard and cellar. The Sonoma Mountain bottling reflects a slightly cooler, more structured expression within their range.
The 2024 is sourced from elevated vineyard sites, with fruit harvested at optimal ripeness and fermented in barrel using native yeasts. Aging takes place in French oak, with time on lees building texture and depth while maintaining balance and integration.
Layered and expressive, it shows notes of ripe citrus, baked apple, and stone fruit, alongside subtle spice and a touch of toasted almond. The palate is broad yet composed, with a creamy texture balanced by fresh acidity and a long, polished finish. A natural pairing for roast chicken, lobster, or richer seafood dishes.
