Pinhook was created with a unique question; what if instead of aiming to replicate the same exact product year after year, they embraced each barrel's natural variations to craft a unique whiskey every time, taking inspiration from how winemakers create annual vintages?
Their "Vertical Series" provides a unique opportunity to explore the true impact of age on a whiskey, via a limited series of 13 consecutive annual releases of a single group of MGP barrels (with similar fill dates and identical mashbills) as they mature from 4-16 years of age.
Blended from just 20 barrels, the Vertical Series Rye 9 Year is the most limited release in the series to date. It showcases a warm nose of candied licorice, oatmeal cookie, clove, and burnt toffee, and leads to a rich palate of baked apricot, lychee, candied cinnamon, and lavender honey.

We regret that the only products we can accept for return are faulty goods where we will attempt to provide a like-for-like replacement.
- To exchange we require the faulty product to be returned to the store.
- For returns of wines which are corked, please re-seal after tasting and return us the (nearly) full bottle. We cannot exchange if the bottle has been consumed.
- If the same product is not available, we will refund in full to the original form of payment.
- Any returns are at the customer’s expense.
