Perched high atop Spring Mountain, Pride Mountain Vineyards is one of California’s most iconic addresses — a rare estate that literally straddles the Napa and Sonoma county line. Since the 1990s, the Pride family has built a reputation for bold yet polished mountain wines that combine power, finesse, and a real sense of place.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon showcases everything that makes Pride legendary. Fruit from rugged mountain slopes yields intensity and concentration, while cool nights preserve freshness. The wine is aged in French oak, balancing structure with luxurious texture.
Aromas of blackberry, cassis, and graphite rise from the glass, joined by hints of espresso, cedar, and violets. On the palate, it’s full-bodied and layered, with dark cherry and plum wrapped in firm but refined tannins. The finish is long, complex, and laced with spice and mineral notes — the kind of Cab that makes you stop and pay attention.
Cellar it for a decade or more, or enjoy now with a decant. It’s an exceptional partner for ribeye steaks, braised short ribs, or hearty mushroom dishes.
