Shabo is based in one of the oldest wine terroirs in Europe, with winemaking practised since the times of the ancient Greeks. More than 2.500 years ago, they founded the settlement of Tira (later the city of Akkerman) at the Black Sea coast, and planted vineyards here. Today Shabo is pioneering fine wine production in the area.
Their skin-contact Telti-Kuruk is fabulous! Fermented in underground amphora, this light, elegant wine is full of notes of apricots, light flowers and green tea. On the palate this is rounded with a fabulous long finish and delicate tannins.
