Tobias Vineyards is owned and managed by husband and wife Toby Forman and Dawn Pauli Forman. They both grew up learning the art and business of grape growing and winemaking from their legendary fathers, Ric Forman and Bill Pauli. While Toby still makes the Forman wines with his father, and Dawn is a partner in Yokayo Wine Co., they wanted to grow their own grapes and make their own wines. TOBIAS was born.
Each year, the best lots of fruit from the vintage are blended to create this beautiful Bordueax style blend, this vintage made from 77% Sonoma county and 23% Mendocino. The 2019 leads with bright cherry, blackberry, and soft dried herbs. Aromas of currants, tobacco, and hints of oak continue to waft from the glass... Sweet blackberry and brambly red and black fruits soften into sweet oak and cigar box with a hint of cocoa. On the palate, the wine is velvety and soft with well integrated tannins that drive a long lingering finish. Perfect pairing with your favorite cut of meat now or for 7 years to come.Ā
